Cleminatu (Atu) Fields, CEO, has over seventeen years of experience in developing policies, implementation plans, and achievement reports as well as overseeing staff in those efforts. She has played an extensive role in the development of policies for the Port of Oakland including its Non-Discrimination and Small Local Business Utilization Policy and its Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program. She also oversaw the implementation of the Port’s unique Project Labor Agreement, which included the first innovative Social Justice Program that promoted the inclusion of local construction workers as journeymen and apprentices. Atu is a graduate of Yale University.

ANDREA LOWE, PRESIDENT

Andrea Lowe, President, has extensive experience in supplier diversity and community benefit programming, youth development programs, and training and development. Prior to founding A Squared Ventures, as Community Affairs Director for Turner Construction Company, she increased the Northern California Business Unit’s presence in the local community as well as their database of local, small, minority and woman owned businesses. She has facilitated numerous professional development and youth focused seminars and was previously an adjunct professor in Organizational Psychology for Golden Gate University. Mrs. Lowe is currently a member of the Oakland Workforce Investment Board and the Board of Directors for the East Oakland Youth Development Center.

JORDAN HILL-WASHINGTON, PROGRAM MANAGER

Currently the Program Manager for A Squared Ventures, Inc. (A2V), Jordan Hill-Washington has over 13 years of professional experience administering service programs and exceeding organizational objectives. 

 

Formerly the Business & Community Liaison in the Division of Social Responsibility (SRD) at the Port of Oakland, Mrs. Hill-Washington developed operating and work flow procedures, coordinated projects, managed complaints from the local business community and served as a change agent.

 

Her work included monitoring work for continuous process improvement, devising policy and procedures around division objectives and implementing program procedures while monitoring for compliance in all areas.  

 

Before joining the A2V team, she worked in the private sector in various areas including program administration, real estate, marketing, and sales.  Mrs. Hill-Washington received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California at Berkeley, has earned the issuance of a United States Patent and continues to pursue an executive career in Program Administration.

LORENA GARCIA, PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Lorena Arroyo Garcia, Program Coordinator, has over four cumulative years of experience in working on and in support of local business equity programs.  She worked on the Oakland Airport Terminal Improvement Program and overseeing the progress payment process for local businesses, developing subcontractor reporting, maintaining the project website, and assisting in preparing closeout reports.  Lorena has also worked with Mason Tillman Associates on the City of Oakland Disparity Study. In that capacity, she developed and implemented an outreach plan to local businesses and organizations that assured their participation in the Disparity Study.  She is a member of Congresswoman Barbara Lee’s Advisory Committee and has worked as a community organizer. Lorena is a graduate of UC Berkeley and holds a Master’s Degree from Claremont Graduate University.

PRISCILLA MARS, OPERATIONS MANAGER


​

​Priscilla Mars, Operations Manager has more than 20 years of experience managing the operations of various businesses such as government, private and health care facilities.  Her sole purpose is to find ways to make the company more productive by providing effective methods in its business operations. In addition she has a strong leadership background and handles problems quickly and efficiently; with her extensive knowledge and engagement within the community, she has assisted various non-profits to develop methods and implement functions to increase effective production.  She also assists community programs to obtain funding to achieve self-sustainability.   She is currently is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and is a certified Notary Public Commissioner for the State of California.
